陈冠英教授(1956）曾任西北师范大学物理与电子工程学院物理系主任，主要从事光信息处理及激光技术研究。曾评为西北师范大学第一、二、四届中青年科研教学骨干。

代表性的科研成果有：

１．曾主持、参与完成国家、省科委、省教委自然科学基金资助项目5项。

２．主持学校、设备处教学科研项目3项。

３．获国家发明专利一项（独立）实用新型专利一项（参加）。

４．发表科研、教学论文30余篇

５．参与项目获得省科委科技进步二、三等奖、省高校科技进步一、二、三等奖7项。

６．主持项目“体视假彩色光学显微镜成像机理及其特性的研究”，获得省科委科技进步三等奖。
